SRX Launches First Integrated, Mobile Property Market for Consumers

Singapore Real Estate Exchange (SRX), the market’s leading information and property listing platform, launches the unique SRX Home Search App, the world’s first integrated mobile property marketplace for consumers.

The App is iOS and Android compatible and is available for free on Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store.

Phase 1: Share

The Share phase, launched today, consists of four unique applications found only on SRX Home Search: Location‐based Search, Shortlist, instant messaging of property notes and photos, and X‐Value.

SRX Home Search is the only app that allows consumers to look for homes using a location‐based search engine. It has real‐time access to SRX’s extensive database; and one can share the experience with friends and family using the latest social networking capabilities.

“Location‐based and X‐Value are revolutionary in themselves,” said Jeremy Lee, Chief Technology Officer and Co‐founder of SRX. “Searching by location ‐ not keyword ‐ is the natural and preferred way to find a home. Our search engine brings consumers to real listings in places they want to live. We have made all these services more convenient by putting them on a mobile platform for consumers.”

The unique Shortlist feature allows consumers to select their preferred listings, take notes and upload photos during viewings. All this information can then be shared with family and friends who may not be present at the viewing.

It also enables one to track conversations based on a particular listing rather than needing to scroll through a long thread of unrelated messages. This enhances the sharing experience and makes it fuss‐free for potential home buyers.

Consumers will also be able to use SRX’s pricing feature – X­‐Value – which has become the market’s standard for establishing the price or rent of a home. SRX Home Search makes X-­Value, which is available on srx.com.sg, even more accessible to consumers.

SRX Home Search plans to launch the next two phases: Agent and Deal Team in September and October, respectively.

Phase 2: Agent

The second phase of the SRX Home Search launch is the Agent phase. In September, SRX will introduce features to link a consumer with his or her real estate agent. The two parties will then be able to interact on a secure communication channel, allowing them to exchange sensitive information as well as digitally schedule home viewings and other events.

“We are excited about SRX Home Search as this is the next step in the SRX consortium’s efforts to make the buying, selling, and renting process more efficient as well as satisfying for the consumer and agent,” said Eugene Lim, ERA key executive officer.

Phase 3: Deal Team

The third phase that will be rolled out for SRX Home Search is the Deal Team. In October, SRX will introduce features that will allow consumers and agents to interact with other professionals who serve real estate consumers. A real estate transaction is complex and involves property agents, lawyers, mortgage bankers, and insurers. The Deal Team feature of SRX Home Search will connect these parties digitally so that the transaction can be executed efficiently.

“Most commercial mobile applications are just websites reconfigured for the smart phone but SRX Home Search is a fully integrated platform,” said Sam Baker, Chief Executive Officer and Co‐founder of SRX.
